July has been a busy month for Jan Ross. She was awarded "Second Place" in the 2008 Girardot National Juried Exhibition in Cape Girardeau, MO for her painting "Here's Looking at You" showing from July 4-26, 2008; was accepted in the South Cobb Arts Alliance 21st National Juried Exhibition in Mableton, GA for her painting "Cowboy Conversation" showing from August 23 - September 28, 2008; and was accepted at the Atlanta Artists Center National Juried Exhibition for her painting "Go Fish" showing from August 26 - September 30, 2008. Jan's work received an "Honorable Mention" in the ARTStation #3 Juried Competition and Exhibition, running from June 7 to August 23, 2008 at the gallery in Stone Mountain, GA. Jan's work was recently on display at the "World of Art" exhibit in Mableton, GA and is currently showing in the Hudson Valley Art Association's 77th Annual Exhibition in Lyme, CT, June 27-Aug 2, 2008.
Jan's work was also selected from a National Competition to be featured on the Winter 2009 cover of The Missouri Watercolor Society's Official Publication, "Watercolor Studio."
